Factions

The Old World factions

Last updated:

Order of Battle can build lists for every army in its Warhammer: The Old World catalogue. That's 17 main factions plus Mercenaries and the Renegade Crowns of the Realms of Man. Ten are fully supported Games Workshop armies with Arcane Journals: the Empire of Man, Kingdom of Bretonnia, Dwarfen Mountain Holds, High Elf Realms, Wood Elf Realms, Grand Cathay, Orc and Goblin Tribes, Warriors of Chaos, Beastmen Brayherds and Tomb Kings of Khemri. Seven are Legacy armies with free PDF rules: Chaos Dwarfs, Daemons of Chaos, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Ogre Kingdoms, Skaven and Vampire Counts. Where the catalogue includes them, you can also pick an Army of Infamy, such as the City-State of Nuln, the Slayer Host or the Troll Horde, or a community Renegades list for a Legacy army. Pick a faction below to see how it plays and start a list.
