Kingdom of Bretonnia army builder

Last updated:

Kingdom of Bretonnia army art used in Order of Battle

Bretonnia is the cavalry army of Warhammer: The Old World, with its list in Forces of Fantasy. Nearly every Bretonnian plan comes down to heavy knights charging in lance formation and trying to end a fight in the first round. Everything else exists to make those charges land. Peasant bowmen and men-at-arms are cheap, screen the knights and hold ground. Damsels and Prophetesses bring magic, and knightly vows and the Blessing of the Lady protect the knights, though each vow also restricts what you can do, so read it before you commit. The long-running argument is how many peasants to bring: too few and the knights get shot or tied up, too many and you lose the punch. Order of Battle supports the Grand Army plus two Armies of Infamy, the Errantry Crusade for reckless young knights and the Bretonnian Exiles for a banished lord with mercenaries.
