High Elf Realms army builder
Last updated:

The High Elf Realms field a small, skilled army in Warhammer: The Old World. Their list is in Forces of Fantasy. Elves strike fast and hit accurately, but most units are lightly built and cost a lot, so every loss hurts. Spearmen and archers give a disciplined Core. Elite regiments like White Lions, Swordmasters and Phoenix Guard each do one job very well. Silver Helms and Dragon Princes add fast cavalry, and mages bring strong magic. A dragon-riding prince or mage is the classic centrepiece. The usual tension is elite versus numbers. A few superb units can be outflanked or ground down, but too many cheap units waste what makes elves good. Order of Battle covers the Grand Army plus two Armies of Infamy: the Sea Guard Garrison, built around marines who both shoot and fight, and the Chracian Warhost, which leans on the White Lions and hunters of Chrace.
